When popular tradition and romantic piano meet…
An intimate recital in which the piano sings according to the whim of mood and imagination.
Original compositions and personal arrangements of melodies worth rediscovering ( Partons la mer est belle, Un Canadien errant, Jacques Brel, Villa-Lobos and others). An invitation to enchantment…

Pianist and composer Monique LeBlanc teaches at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and École de musique Vincent-d’Indy. A presenter for many years on Radio-Canada’s Chaîne culturelle (Musiques de nuit, Radio-Concerts, Résonances, Jeunes Artistes), she regularly participated, as pianist for this same network, in the show Club de minuit featuring pianist-improvisers. She also performed the recitals Un piano qui chante and Un piano à la mer, based on her own arrangements, in Montreal’s community cultural centres (maisons de la culture). Her very first album, Au milieu de mes secrets, is devoted to her own compositions and arrangements of familiar songs in a style that combines popular tradition and romantic piano.
